“ Barbecue come in all flavors some I like more than others. I happen to like this flavor a lot. Servings were very generous and delicious. We had pulled pork sandwiches and plates with side of Mac and cheese, collards and coleslaw. Pulled pork plate had a very nice corn bread. Very tasty ice tea that wasn’t too sweet. Service was excellent. Owner/chef talked to us and wanted to make sure everything was to our expectations. On street parking is available. Restaurant has short hours around the weekend, so be sure to check times. ”
“ Hard to find from the map but SO worth it. We tried the ribs, half chicken, and pork and they were all excellent. Lots of places can’t do ribs, but Family Ties were awesome. Great sode dishes too and the people running it were really friendly. Would consider driving all the way from Athens to go back. ”
“ Very tasty and delicious southern country food. We were just stopping buy from Atl and coincidentally found this hidden family restaurant. The service was great too. We had pulled pork plate with baked beans and potatoes salad. Yummy! ”
“ My wife and I tried Family Ties over the weekend, and words cannot describe how delicious it was. You can tell it’s a quality meat when it doesn’t need sauce to be flavorful. It all but melted in my mouth. The sides were fantastic as well: tangy beans and salty fried okra and a wonderfully dense corn muffin. To top it all off, the staff were so welcoming and kind. The owner came out and checked on us, and we felt so cared for. We will definitely become regulars here!!! ”
